Cat person, all the way. I love all animals, but cats own my heart. Birds or reptiles.. well, I don't really want either as a pet; I can't stand seeing birds in tiny cages, and reptiles seem like they are pretty particular about their surroundings- heat etc. But I do love finding snakes and lizards and frogs when I'm gardening! And we feed the outside birds. I love fish; used to have a tank but it turned out our water was too alkaline for them and all attempts at correcting it were futile in the end. So I gave up, rather than keep watching fish suffer and die.

If I had to choose between cat or dog I'd probably pick dog. But in general I am a rat person, since they are my favourite animal above all others. Such sweet little souls.
