I permatemped at this one job for years and worked my butt off building relationships with clients. I organized a giant breakfast event that was wildly successful for my boss. The other department decided they also wanted to do a breakfast event, but they had a junior staff member organize it. I felt personally insulted and even though my contact list was used, only 18 people came to the function. Don't mess with success, I say!
