It was the moment when I woke up from a dream about someone I knew in real life, and realised that this person, who I'd known as a friend for eight years, was actually boyfriend material and a fine potential partner.

After that, it was a matter of months before things developed into a relationship. We've been together ever since. It's been 13 years now.
