I really love an engaging piece of fiction that I can emerse myself in, but honestly, I probably prefer a really good non-fiction. The reason is that reading non-fiction on such a wide variety of subjects allows me to expand my knowledge and gain a profound appreciation when I tackle fiction, especially since critical analysis is, like, my bread and butter?

It doesn't matter what the subject the fiction is, whether it's crime, a historical piece, even children's books, exploring non-fiction and expanding your knowledge helps me to find new little ways to appreciate the story.

Again, especially when I deep read and analysis that stuff.
